Generate a recipe with AI

Expo can create a brand-new recipe from a description. Tell it what you’re in the mood for and it writes a complete recipe — ingredients, steps, and timing.

How to generate a recipe

1. Start a new recipe and choose to create one with AI.
2. Describe what you want. You can be as loose or specific as you like, for example:
   • “A cozy weeknight pasta with mushrooms”
   • “Something spicy with the chicken and peppers I have”
   • “A light, high-protein lunch for two”
3. Expo generates a full recipe. Review it, and if it’s not quite right, revise it (see Personalize and revise a recipe).
4. Save it to your recipes when you’re happy.

Make it from what you have

If you tell Expo which ingredients you have on hand, it will build the recipe around them and suggest sensible additions. This is a great way to use up what’s in the fridge.

It gets better over time
