Import a recipe from a link
Paste any recipe website link and Expo extracts the full recipe.
Spotted a recipe on a food blog or website? Expo can pull the full recipe out of almost any link, so you don’t have to copy and paste ingredients and steps by hand.
How to import from a link
- Copy the web address of the recipe you want.
- In Expo, start an import and paste the link.
- Expo reads the page and extracts the recipe — title, ingredients, and steps.
- Review the result, make any edits you like, and save it to your recipes.
What gets imported
Expo pulls out the parts of a recipe that matter:
- The recipe title
- The ingredient list with quantities
- The step-by-step instructions
Once imported, the recipe behaves like any other recipe in Expo: you can cook it, personalize it, add it to a meal plan, or share it.
If an import doesn’t look right
Some pages are formatted in unusual ways. If a detail is missing or off, you can edit the recipe after importing to fix it. If a particular site never imports cleanly, let us know at support@heyexpo.com so we can take a look.
